TV Box is one of the hot selling streaming device on the market now, If you have purchased a ATV Android TV box or TV stick(ATV means Google certified tv boxes or tv sticks, like Xiao mi TV Box, NVIDIA TV Box, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Google TV, Hako Pro TV box, Mecool TV Box/TV Sticks etc), you will have noticed the extensive Google Play Store built into it, which makes downloading apps extremely easy. However, please be aware that there are still some apps that are not available from Google Play.
So, if you try to download the APK file yourself from somewhere else, how do you successfully install it on your ATV Android TV box or TV stick?
In practice, we found that the easiest way is to use the Downloader APP, which provides direct access to the download site. The steps are as follows:
Step 1: First of all, login to Play Store with your registered Google account, search for and install Downloader App in the search box.
Step 2: Launch and run Downloader, and enter the address of the corresponding third-party software download website in the search box. Once the browser loads the official website, proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Carefully look for the “Download” button on the interface and touch it to start downloading. After the download is complete, follow the system prompts to select the appropriate path for installation.
Step 4: If you need to make sure that the access and installation authorization of your device is enabled, you can go to the “Apps” section to look for and activate the “Apps from Unknown Sources” option, so as to ensure that the subsequent installation of the APK can be carried out smoothly. For Amazon Fire TV Stick users, you need to go to “Settings” → “App Permissions from Unknown Sources” to set it manually.
